Detailed Requirements

Our web application, built with PHP and MySQL, is an internal real estate portal used by our team in France to manage manufacturing property listings. We've noticed a persistent and frustrating bug: when an administrator adds or edits a property listing, it frequently results in two identical entries appearing in the admin's main property list view. This happens inconsistently but enough to be a serious issue.

The core problem seems to be within the PHP backend, potentially related to form submission processing, database insertion logic, or the data retrieval/display mechanism. This bug is causing significant data accuracy problems and slowing down our operations.

We require a developer to:

• Thoroughly diagnose the root cause of the duplicate listings.

• Analyze our existing PHP codebase and MySQL database structure to pinpoint the exact point of failure.

• Be prepared to work quickly, as this is an urgent fix.

• We will provide full FTP/SSH access to the server, database access credentials, and relevant admin panel logins.

Deliverables

Upon completion, we expect the following:

• A comprehensive analysis report detailing the root cause of the duplicate property listings.

• A robust, thoroughly tested PHP code fix that completely prevents any future duplication of property listings in the admin panel.

• If actual duplicate records exist in the database due to this bug, a proposed and safely executed method for cleaning up these existing duplicates without any data loss.
